Maybe it's just that I'm getting older............
But it seems we have lost so many good YOUNG women over the years..............
Some were sick and it was an expected blessing..............
Some were shockingly sudden...........
Lori Webster (school mate, friend, co-worker)
Caprice Tucker (ward member, our kids were the same ages)
Jennifer George (friend, former babysitter for Manda, were both building our homes in 1993)
Lori Richins (school mate, snowmobiling friend)
Sandy Wilson (friend, YW advisors together, missionary mom)
Natalie Garritson (bountiful basket friend)
Today would have been Theresa's 49th birthday. I was with her family at the cemetery this morning. It was bittersweet. I miss her, but know that she is happy and well, and that I will see her again one day.
And this afternoon when I got home, I was notified that this wonderful woman had also left this mortal existence. Sherie Wright will be missed.
I had the wonderful opportunity to first get to know Sherie when her husband was elected as Morgan County Attorney in 1998. We would see her often in the courthouse, and found out what a special person she was. We were lucky enough to have her work in the Assessor's office when Kelly moved on to Salt Lake County, and she was SUCH a bright spot. She helped all of us with our kids as far as classes, Ednet, scholarships, etc. etc. etc. Sherie was so giving and selfless. She was ALWAYS helping others, whether it was us in the office, or at Morgan High School, or the Volleyball team, or as Stake Relief Society President.....the list goes ON and ON.
Our sons were on the wrestling team together, and served missions at the same time. Landon served under her direction in Youth Court, and it was such a great experience.
Sherie NEVER wanted to talk about herself, but would ALWAYS ask about our kids, our families, new grandbabies............. It was always about US, never about her. She was selfless, and spent her life in the service of others. We will miss you Sherie, we are proud to have known you and be your friend. Our prayers go out to your family. Until we meet again.
**Sherie was diagnosed with the same cancer that my friend Theresa fought. Leomyosarcoma http://myleiomyo.blogspot.com/ Theresa fought the cancer for 8 years, Sherie was only diagnosed 4 months ago. You never know.............

| Shane had brought 49 beautiful roses and placed one by one on her grave. There were cupcakes and balloons, and we all sang Happy Birthday - LOVE YOU THERESA !! |

Treasure photo
I saw this photo for the first time last night. It is a treasure to me! Have you ever come upon a picture of someone you love, that you've NEVER seen before? A surprise picture? This is one of those.
This picture was taken outside of the old Richville Church house, probably between 1953 and 1955. When I was first shown this picture, I didn't realize my dad was in it. I didn't even recognize him! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him as a teen like this. I love it. My Uncle Norris is in the picture too, and also Kent Rich (I NEVER knew Kent when he had dark hair. You can definately tell that Ryan is his grandson) Forde Dickson is the Bishop in front (dark suit), and Dee Waldron's dad is the older man in front with the red tie. Annette, I believe two of your uncles are there also. I love surprises AND pictures. Thanks Richard Wiscombe !
**Note - this was the entire? Aaronic Priesthood quorum in the Richville Ward.
**Note - Forde Dickson was my Grandpa Reed's 1st cousin

Back in hospital.........
![]() |
| Thatcher is back at McKay Dee |
Thatcher had jaundice before he left the hospital the first time, and he was sent home with lights. After a couple of days when he went back in for a checkup at one week old, his biliruben levels were lowered, and the doctor said to discontinue the lights. Now here we are a week and a half later, at his 2 1/2 week checkup, and when blood was drawn, the levels were EXTREMELY high. Right after CJ got home from the doctor, she received a phone call, and they wanted him back immediately, to be admitted to the pediatric unit (not NICU). That was about 2 o'clock this afternoon. He has been poked and prodded, blood drawn, IV fluids started, under the lights continuously, no breastmilk, and she can't even hold him to bottle feed the formula. He has little goggles of some sort, so his eyes will be okay as he is under the lights. They will know later tonight if his levels are dropping.
On a better note - Landon and Kacey were able to bring Payson home from the hospital today. Gee, it would be nice to have these two boys in Morgan at the same time ! :)

More pictures and video of Payson and family :)
Freese?!?
It appears an explanation is in order:
The St. Louis Cardinals or the "redbirds" as they are affectionately known around our house, have been Roger and Landon's team FOREVER.
They won the World Series this past October, thanks in no small part, to David Freese.
David Richard Freese (born April 28, 1983) is a third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). For the Cardinals, Freese batted .545 with 12 hits in the 2011 National League Championship Series (NLCS) and set a MLB postseason record for RBIs in the 2011 World Series, earning the NLCS MVP Award, World Series MVP Award, and the Babe Ruth Award, naming him the MVP of the MLB postseason.
In Game 6 of the World Series, with Texas leading, 3 games to 2, Freese came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, with two out and two men on base. With a count of one ball and two strikes, Freese hit a two-run triple to tie the game and send it to extra innings. In the 11th inning, again with two strikes, Freese hit a game-winning lead-off, "walk-off", solo home-run to deep center field (420 feet), to send the World Series to its first Game 7 since 2002.[22][23] Freese joined Jim Edmonds, the man he was traded for, as the only players in Cardinals history to hit an extra-inning walk-off home run in the postseason.
In Game 7 of the World Series, Freese hit a two-run double in the bottom of the first inning, bringing his 2011 postseason RBI total to 21, an MLB record.[24][25] The Cardinals went on to win the game and the series,[26] making Freese a World Series champion for the first time. For his efforts, Freese was named the World Series MVP.[27] He became the sixth player to win the LCS and World Series MVP awards in the same year.[28] Freese also won the Babe Ruth Award as the postseason MVP.[29]
So, there you have it !! Payson Freese Rich :)
